Liam was playing with play dough yesterday and proudly announced, "Mama, look at my Spongebob scumpture!" I was cracking up.

Now this one just cracked me the hell up!!

Liam was jumping on my bed, waving his arms about...he was desperately trying to find some kind of rhythym, but faltering. He reminded me of Elaine when she did that whacked out dance move on Seinfeld. Our conversation is as follows:

Me: What in the world are you doing?
Liam: Jackups.
Me: You mean jumping jacks?
Liam: No! I mean jackups! Now I'm going to exercise, leave me alone!

The end part was kind of bratty but it was still amusing.

Both of these are restroom stories. For those of you who don't know, Liam finally decided to start using the toilet in August of this year. At 4 1/2. One day he said, "I'm using the potty today." We said okay, and he did! It was so easy...patience is truly a virtue. Good things come to those who wait...and all of that bs.

Yesterday we were in the restroom at Cardinal Hill and Liam peed in the toilet. I praised him because he's not too keen on using public restrooms (I mean, who isn't? But he'll hold himself and bounce around in Target for crying out loud).

Me: Liam, you're such a big boy! You peed in the toilet!
Liam: Papa pees in the potty.
Me: Yep, he does.
Liam: Papa is a good boy.
Me: (laughing) He is!

Tonight we were at Babies R Us and we made another visit to the restroom. I peed first and then Liam decided he needed to.

Liam: Look, our pees are the same color!!!

I was cracking up. This kid is so damn funny.

And you can quote me on that!

After school today we walked out with Gabe, Ruby and Ajunique. The adults stood and chatted while the kids played in a big pile of leaves. There was laughing, jumping, hugging. They entertained themselves for a good ten minutes. Finally it was time to leave and Liam was distraught. He insisted that he was going to Gabe's house. When I explained that he wasn't, a tantrum ensued.

After he stopped crying, I tried to engage him a bit.

Me: How was school today, Liam?

Liam: I don't really feel like talking to you right now.

Me: Okay then.

Liam, Jokester

Liam: Why did Fuzzy Bunny stand on his head?

Me: I don't know? Why?

Liam: Because his feet were getting tired. (laughs hysterically)
